Bancroft Homes
Christian Church Homes, a non-profit developer based in Oakland, was created to meet the housing needs of low-income seniors who were facing fewer housing choices in a shrinking Northern California market. Founded in 1961, CCH has worked diligently to bring their mission statement, “providing quality housing in caring communities,” to life, and through this service has made a difference in the lives of individuals on a daily basis.
CCH manages 38 facilities providing 3,296 residential units without distinction on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, religion or familial status. All but one of CCH’s facilities feature HUD-subsidized apartments and most of the subsidy programs allow low income residents to pay only 30% of their adjusted gross income for rent.
